Winemaker's notes:
LIN 53 is a wine of unique blending, in which the traditional Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot harmoniously co-exist with the typically Bulgarian Gamza and Rubin. The last two add up a touch of modern actuality to the classical Bulgarian wine style and quality. Perfect ripe grapes from our own vineyards have been carefully selected to create this unique wine. It bears the name of "lin" - the old wooden bucket-type container, traditionally used as a measure-unit in Bulgarian vine-growing and winemaking. LIN 53 is a limited series and the wine was made from 35 lins of Cabernet Sauvignon, 11 lins of Merlot, 4 lins of Rubin and 3 lins of Gamza. Intensive dark ruby colour. Aromas of ripe cherries and red fruit, coming from the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grapes, are harmoniously combined with the Gamza's enigmatic touches of blackcurrant. The body is extremely powerful and with a perfect structure, supported by the Rubin variety. Well-incorporated oak notes from the American oak barrels complete and round-up the bouquet of this unique blended wine, which brings together the best of these four grape varieties.
