After many disappointments with the 'new' Bulgarian white wines, this one was a good surprise. This would be a good $3.99 wine in the US. It is just a pity that this winery eventually gave up the red sungurlarski misket for the sake of the big three whites (chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, and riesling). This is not the way you can compete internationally. You can never compete with the californian chardonnay, the sauvignon blanc from new zealand, or the german riesling.
