Winemaker's notes:
Aroma: Powerful aromas of passionfruit and blackcurrant, hints of gooseberry with refreshing crushed herb and mineral notes.

Palate: A concentrated and complex wine with powerful passionfruit and blackcurrant, with underlying grapefruit and mineral notes. This wine is pleasingly rich and powerful with a well balanced acidity that leads to a long lingering finish.

Cellaring: Perfect for drinking immediately, this Sauvignon Blanc will be at its best over the next 1 to 2 years.

Winemaking: The fruit for this wine was sourced from a number of vineyards and sub regions throughout Marlborough including Blind River, parts of the Lower Wairau, Ben Morven and the Brancott Valley. Each parcel of fruit was carefully monitored during ripening so it could be harvested at optimum maturity in cool conditions. After harvest, fruit was transported to the winery with haste for immediate pressing with minimal skin contact to avoid juice deterioration. After settling, each batch was cool fermented in stainless steel using a variety of cultured yeasts to add complexity to the blend and to retain the fresh fruit characteristics from each of the vineyards. Shortly after completion of fermentation, the wine was assessed and selected for this blend before being carefully balanced and prepared for bottling.
