Trebbiano, Ugni Blanc, Thalia
Trebbiano is one of the varieties known by different name all over the world. Trebbiano is actually it's Italian name. In France it is known as Ugni Blanc or Saint-Еmilion. In Bulgaria - Thalia - although lately it's french name is used. This variety is extensively planted. Estimates indicate that Trebbiano produces more wine than any other variety in the world even though the Airen is planted on more acreage. It has high acidity (and this is why it is used in Cognac production), medium alcohol and very light aroma of banana. The Trebbiano grape is most often blended with other varieties.
